Host plants are the food source for both butterfly and moth caterpillars. The relationship between host and species of butterfly or moth may be very specific, such as a genus or family of plants, while other species of leps are more generalized. Growing host plants will increase the likelihood of attracting those species of butterfly or moth that use it to your habitat.
We offer an assortment of common to rare host plants to assist you in creating your backyard habitat. We sell beneficial non-native host plants because the butterflies or moths find them acceptable to use.
