Our Experience

We have grown Great Coneflower in our habitat for many years as part of our Very Tall Plants section. The height of the stalks vary a little each year depending on growing conditions. The foliage is a frosty sage green making it an easy plant to identify in the early spring. It pairs nicely with other tall plants in our habitat.

Keystone Species by the Numbers

The numbers provided indicate how many species of Lepidoptera caterpillars use the plant as a host, or how many pollen specialist bees rely on the plant. Information obtained from Garden for Wildlife published by the National Wildlife Federation. Scroll down the page to load more entries.
