About the Organization

Latino Educational Achievement Partnership empowers Durham Children to achieve academic success by providing a high-quality, culturally affirming, dual-language preschool and on-going support through 8th Grade.

LEAP maintains a small community garden that is used both as an educational garden and to produce food for our low-income school community. We are in the process of starting a native plant garden to support our outdoor education programing – teaching our preschoolers about the importance of native plants and insect habitats for our environment. We also hope it will support the health of our food garden by supporting greater pollinator diversity.
