About the Organization

Wake County Nature Preserves focuses on the conservation and natural resources and wildlife while having a recreational value for the public. Preserve staff manage the Nature Presereves and bring education to the public whenever possible. The plants donated to Sandy Pines Nature Preserve will be planted throughout the nature preserve parking lot to fight against invasive species and in a existing pollinator garden. These plants will educate preserve guest on the variety of native pollinator plants that attract and host insects while also helping with fighting invasive species throughout the preserve.
