About the Organization

I am a part of the Environmental Committee at my children’s school, Jefferson Elementary. We plan to establish a native pollinator garden on campus that will help teach students about the importance of native plants and spark an interest in the natural world. Jefferson Elementary is a very diverse school with children from many different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. We hope to make this hands-on learning project something that will bring them together and get their families engaged in native gardening, as well. As a native gardener and beekeeper myself, I am committed to the this project and will make sure it is well cared for in the long term.
