About the Organization

Rocky River Elementary is creating a time capsule garden. The local NCWF Chapter, Habitat Builders, is helping with design, procuring plants, installation and maintenance. The time capsule garden is part of a career awareness and development project and will hold student’s individual statements about their potential future careers. Years from now the students will return to open the time capsules. We want a beautiful garden to help them see the potential for a beautiful future. Habitat Builders created a design to support native pollinators and to educate the public about the importance of native wildlife and native plants. We plan to certify the garden through NCWF and NWF. There will be a circular path and benches. The garden is also visible from several classrooms.
