The Hillsborough Moth Crawl has always been, and will always be, free. That’s not a detail, it’s the whole point! We believe that wonder shouldn’t cost anything, and that everyone deserves a chance to stand under the lights and have their mind, heart, and soul changed by communing with The Moths.
But free to attend doesn’t mean free to run. As the Crawl has grown, so have the costs that come with it, and like everyone right now, we’re feeling the stretch of an economy that isn’t making anything easier. We fund what we can through our plant sale fundraisers and our own pockets, because we believe in this crazy idea that MOTHS bring people together, and that all this communing with them creates community.
