Our Experience
Ribgrass plantain is a naturalized plant found in feral grassy areas. It is easily grown and will thrive under almost any conditions. It is considered an edible herb that can be eaten raw in salads.
Common Buckeye caterpillars will hide out at the base of the plant and you will most likely not notice them until the caterpillars are in their final instars. The plant grows incredibly well in containers which we recommend to control the proliferation of this plant in your garden, as well as to be able to easily find the caterpillars.
The small delicate flowers draw the attention of the tiniest of pollinating insects such as sweat bees.
