Our Experience
We currently have Passiflora caerulea in our habitat and decided we’d like to grow P. incarnata, too! We hope you’ll want to add this Dr. Seuss looking flower to your garden or habitat that serves as a host plant to both the Variegated Fritillary and Gulf Fritillary.
Passion flowers do best if given a lot of space to grow and sprawl. Because they are native they technically shouldn’t be called invasive…so instead we’ll caution you that this vine is quite prolific and unruly. Best to grow it in a location where you don’t mind it running amok.
The flowers are crazy impressive and is found acceptable by an assortment of pollinating insects.
